what to drink after miscarriage to clean womb? Answered

I’m currently doing my O&G clinical rotation posting, and I couldn’t be more grateful. It has been amazing, and I have learned so much. Just last week, we had a presentation on miscarriage, and a patient asked what she should drink after miscarriage to clean her womb. I’m just going to share the answer my consultant gave her here.

He told her that during miscarriages, women tend to suffer from severe blood loss, so iron-rich foods are necessary. So he recommended eggs, milk, chicken, nuts, and beans to overcome blood loss in her body. Continue reading to find out more about iron-rich foods. He said:

1. Drink a lot of water

Hydration is very necessary for your recovery; it aids the body’s natural detoxification, therefore flushing out toxins and supporting overall well-being.

2. Avoid alcohol, coffee, processed food, and caffeinated drinks.

While hydrating yourself, avoid sodas, caffeinated drinks, and alcohol because they may interfere with the body’s natural healing process. And taking processed food increases the intake of additives, which also hinders recovery, so avoid that too until you’re healed.

3. Drink Achillea Millefolium

This is also called yarrow. It is an herb that helps to curb heavy bleeding and is an excellent womb cleaner. You can use the leaves or their flowers.

This herb prevents blood loss and is one of the best natural remedies for miscarriage bleeding that is uncontrollable.

It also strengthens the body, tightens tissues, and helps the body heal from a miscarriage more quickly.

The herb protects your reproductive system as a whole and aids in the natural healing of your organs.

4. Drink Red Raspberry Leaf

It is the herb that, when combined with other natural medicines, helps your womb heal more quickly. The leaves may be used to brew tea. You can then spend your free time however you choose while drinking your tea.

The leaves nourish your body and help to balance your iron levels, which is especially beneficial if you have lost iron from bleeding from a miscarriage.

5. Drink Motherworts

Motherworts are an effective womb cleaner that not only manages bleeding but also gets rid of all the associated placental material.

This herb can improve your mood and help you manage bleeding and related stress.

6. Drink immune-supporting herbs

Various natural substances, herbs, and spices (like amla, ginger, tulsi or basil, giloy, turmeric, etc.) can aid in the healing process following internal bleeding and uterine cleaning.

They can also boost your immune system and lessen the stress or infection in your body.

Final thoughts on what to drink after miscarriage to clean the womb

If you’ve had a miscarriage, your doctor may recommend dilation and curettage (also called D and C). This procedure is to remove any remaining tissue from the uterus. The doctor dilates (widens) your cervix and removes the tissue with suction or with an instrument called a curette.

But if you want to go for a more natural and home remedy-like approach, then everything you’ve read above is safe to practice.
